Disney celebrates the pre-opening of Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris

With just one day to go until the official opening of the Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris, Disney’s leadership celebrated the dedication of the new campus.

“Our Imagineers, Marvel Studios teams, and everyone involved have truly outdone themselves to bring you this action-packed world,” said Chapek. “I think our guests will be astounded by the detail and creativity at Avengers Campus as they explore and become part of a bigger universe.”

“This is such an amazing year for Disneyland Paris. Back in March, we kicked off our 30th-anniversary celebration inviting guests to enter into a new era with us,” remarked Natacha Rafalski, the Présidente of Disneyland Paris. “As part of this tremendous milestone for our resort, Avengers Campus marks a significant step forward in the ongoing expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park and our overall transformation, with original storytelling and a uniquely engaging experience.”

Rafalski also announced plans to honor 20,000 healthcare workers, and children and families who need magic most, by inviting them to be among the first to experience Avengers Campus throughout 2022.

The celebration ended as guests danced the night away around the Quinjet to the beats of International DJ The Avener. It also included 500 drones forming a series of Avengers icons in the sky, orchestrated by Doctor Strange himself.

Disneyland Paris’ long-awaited Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus, opens July 20. Slightly larger than its California counterpart (6.79 acres vs. 6 acres), construction on the new land, which is part of a $2 billion expansion to the park, first started three years ago in April 2019.

The Avengers Campus includes two action-packed attractions where you can sling webs like Spider-Man or fly into space with Iron Man and Captain Marvel.

Exclusive to Disneyland Paris, AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: FLIGHT FORCE is an upcoming steel roller coaster attraction as the replacement for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The ride will be entirely revamped and will be every thrill seeker’s dream.

You’ll join not only Iron Man, but Captain Marvel herself on a mission through space in a vehicle Stark has equipped with a homing device, to lure this threat away from Earth.

Similar to the Spiderman Web Slingers in California, guests onboard Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure will help Peter Parker stop the out of control spider-bots before they wreak havoc on the Campus.

Through specially designed, innovative technology that recognizes body movements and gestures, all you have to do is reach out your hands and start slinging webs from your wrists, just like Spider-Man! And you’ll need these newfound powers as the Spider-Bots multiply, becoming harder and harder to beat. After helping Spider-Man complete the mission, recruits will be able to see how many Spider-Bots they caught as a team in their vehicles.
