Disney has filed a new permit for the PLAY! Pavilion at EPCOT. The contractor listed on the permit is Balfour Beatty Construction LLC.
The permit was filed on July 14 and references “general contractor package” in the description of the work. The expiration date of the permit is December 31, 2024.
It’s likely that this new permit is just an all-encompassing permit for the contractor to resume work. The contractor listed on the permit is Balfour Beatty Construction LLC.
The Play! Pavilion will take over what was once the Wonders of Life Pavilion and was supposed to open for the 50th anniversary celebration. The Play! pavilion will be an interactive space that would feature games, activities, other experiences and Disney characters. It is still unclear when the Play! pavilion will open.
