Disney today released new concept art for the reimagining of EPCOT. Included in the art is the concept for Moana’s Journey of Water, which will be part of the new World Nature neighborhood.
Journey of Water is inspired by Moana. This is the first Walt Disney World attraction based on the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film Moana, and will be an exploration trail rather than a ride.
Anchored by a massive topiary of Te Fiti, Journey of Water serves as a whimsical exploration of the water cycle and how it sustains our world. Disney describes the attraction as it “will let Guests interact with magical, living water in a beautiful and inspiring setting.”
When you zoom in on this new artwork, you can make see new details of the trail, including several different paths with water elements. There appears to be jumping fountains and roofed structures with water streaming over the sides.
EPCOT is still currently full of construction seemingly around every corner as the park undergoes a massive transformation from the original Future World and World Showcase divide of the Park to four neighborhoods including World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase. Moana’s Journey of Water will be located between Spaceship Earth and the Seas with Nemo & Friends.
