Disneyland Magic Key renewals open Aug 18.

Disneyland Magic Keyholders who purchased the highest-priced annual passes last year will find themselves paying more for fewer days of access when renewals become available on August 18th.

Disney has replaced the old top-level Dream Key annual pass with a new Inspire Key. The two passes are essentially the same, but the new Inspire Key blacks out the Christmas holiday dates of December 21st through January 1st. The former Dream Key had year-round access with no black out dates.

Although the new Inspire Key will block pass holders for 12 days around Christmas, Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown said parkgoers can still partake of the holiday festivities because the resort celebrates the holiday for eight weeks, starting in early November.

“We think we have a lot of options for our Magic Key holders to experience,” she said.

The new prices for the four Disneyland Magic Key annual passes:

    • Inspire $1,599 – Increase of $200 (14%) compared to the former Dream Key
      • 20% discount on the Genie+
      • Unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads
      • Free Parking
    • Believe $1,099 – Increase of $150 (16%)
      • 20% discount on the Genie+
      • Unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads
      • 50% discount on parking
    • Enchant $699 – Increase of $50 (8%)
      • 20% discount on the Genie+
      • 25% discount on parking at the Toy Story lot
    • Imagine $449 – Increase of $50 (13%) Imagine Key, which is available only to Southern California residents.
      • 20% discount on the Genie+
      • 25% discount on parking at the Toy Story lot

Existing passholders within their renewal window can purchase any of the four Magic Key passes regardless of their current pass.

With a limited number of passes for sale, each Magic Key type can have renewals paused at any time. No new Magic Key sales will be available at this time while Disneyland prioritizes renewals for current passholders.
