Opened on June 28, 2019, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is a spinning attraction in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure; based on the movie Inside Out.
This fun family-friendly attraction invites you to step into the workplace of Riley’s Emotions—Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger. When you approach the Emotional Whirlwind you’re welcomed by statues of Sadness and Joy. The ride is lined with the movie’s trademark memory orbs.
Fun Fact:
- The defunct Flik’s Flyers was repurposed and redecorated to create this attraction, which now stands on the former site of the Maliboomer drop tower ride.
- Each spin on the emotional whirlwind features narration by one of the five emotions featured in the film Inside Out.
- The queue are for the attraction features humorous vacation posters for destinations such as Imagination Land, Personality Island and Cloud Town.
