Hop on to this junior roller coaster. When The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm closed in 2011, the Barnstormer is the remake due to the Fantasyland expansion.
From 1988-1996 a petting zoo was in the location of The Barnstormer. Do you remember Minnie Moo?
If you don’t she was a cow located at the Grandma Duck’s Petting Farm. If you remember she has a hidden Mickey on one side. Once the petting zoo was removed from Magic Kingdom, Minnie Moo was relocated to Fort Wilderness. Unfortunately, Minnie Moo is no longer with us, but her memory remains.
Once Grandma Duck’s Petting Farm was closed The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm opened and remained open from 1996-2011.
The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre farm was an airplane school taught by Goofy and we all know how that would turn out. Goofy made homemade biplanes and riders went twisting and turning full speed into a barn.
When Disney started work on Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland unfortunately, that meant The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm was closed in 2011. Re-themed they made The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini.
Today hold on as you rise to the top of an observation tower and swoop through a barn but don’t worry you land safely during the finale.
Fun Facts:
- Look at the back of the entrance sign. You will see a set of red painted jumbled letters that when put together spell Wiseacre Farm.
- The ride can hit speeds of 25 mph and lasts one-minute.
