‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 coming to Disney Plus in February 2023

Disney has revealed the release date for the upcoming third season of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus.

Among the many announcements at Star Wars Celebration 2022, was an update on “The Mandalorian” season 3. It was originally slated to air in December, 2022 but has now been pushed back to February 2023.

All episodes are now in pre-production, and fans attending the Star Wars Celebration event were also shown some footage from the upcoming new season. That new footage featured the surprising return of Babu Frik, a fan-favorite character from the last major theatrical release, Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

A tiny droidsmith working among the Spice Runners of Kijimi, the well-regarded Babu Frik can reprogram or modify virtually any droid, regardless of the security measures protecting its systems.

There were other interesting finds in the teaser, including a whole tree of Salacious Crumbs and a closer look at what we believe to be Mandalore.

Details concerning the third season of The Mandalorian are scarce. However, it is believed to follow Din Djarin’s adventures following the events of The Book of Boba Fett, which saw the titular former bounty hunter team up with Din Djarin to secure power on Tatooine, before the Mandalorian was finally reunited with Grogu, who turned away from Luke Skywalker’s training.
