Marvel has released a new look at the next chapter of “Black Panther” during the studio’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
The two-minute teaser is packed with peeks at what awaits us in the sequel without star Chadwick Boseman, who died after a private battle with cancer in 2020 at age 43.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” director Ryan Coogler was on site in San Diego and paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman.
“I promise you, I can feel his hand on me right now. Chad is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride in his culture, and the impact that he made on this industry will be felt forever,” Coogler said.
The movie will center greatly on the loss of T’Challa (Boseman) as Nakia, Shuri, Okoye, and others seemingly deal with the tragic loss of their king.
Wakanda Forever stars Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Florence Kasumba as Ayo, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli among others. New entrants in the franchise include Michaela Coel as Aneka and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart. Ryan Coogler returns to direct with a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters Nov. 11.
