A vacationing family caught filmed incredible footage of a waterspout forming over Disney’s exclusive Castaway Cay island port.
The video, captured by Khayan E. Martinez on Sunday, May 29, shows the waterspout form across from a cruise ship near Castaway Cay and travel further out into the water. Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island for cruise passengers.
Reacting to the weather taking shape, Martinez had just one reaction, “Yikes.”

The severe weather caused brief delays for visiting guests, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Waterspouts are tornados that form over water instead of land. They often develop on the fringes of severe weather, where the moisture-laden air is more turbulent, and can cause severe damage to boats, ships, and other watercraft.
